In this part, we begin knitting the foot section of the long Fair Isle socks and start working the gusset decreases. The free sock pattern is published step by step on the SullaVikat blog.
In this design, the gusset decreases are placed on the sole of the sock, allowing the Fair Isle pattern on the top of the foot to remain uninterrupted. Left-leaning line = SSK (slip, slip, knit)
Right-leaning line = k2tog (knit two together)
